Assessment Period is January 2^nd to March 15^th of Each Year

After March 15^th a 10% penalty will be applied.

After April 15^th a 20% penalty will be applied.

January 2^nd to March 15^th - Apply for Homestead Exemption, Double Homestead Exemption, and Valuation Limitation (Senior Freeze).

Application Period: January 1^st - March 15^th

Single Homestead Requirements:

Legal Oklahoma resident

Must be owner & live in residence

Have no other homestead filed in Oklahoma

Double Homestead Requirements:

Must qualify for Single Homestead exemption

Gross household income limit of $30,000 per year

Proof of income required

If under age 65, must apply every year

Permanent Double Homestead Requirements:

Must qualify for Single Homestead exemption

Gross household income limit of $30,000 per year

Proof of income required

Must be 65 years or older

Senior Valuation Freeze Requirements: Freezes the assessed value of the homestead property

Must qualify for Single Homestead exemption

Gross household income limit of $71,200 per year

Proof of income required

Must be 65 years of age or older

100% Disabled Veteran Exemption Requirements: Exempts full fair cash value of the homestead for 100% Service connected permanently disabled Veterans.

Veterans award letter required with the raised seal

To Receive Exemptions For That Year:

Deed must be executed before January 1st.

The Board of County Commissioners, Comanche County, meeting in Regular Session, hereby declare holidays and days off for the year 2025 as follows:

January 1st - New Years Day Observance

January 20th - Martin Luther King Day

February 17th - President's Day

April 18th - Good Friday

May 26th - Memorial Day

July 4th - Independence Day

September 1st - Labor Day

November 11th - Veterans Day

November 27th - 28th - Thanksgiving

December 24th, 25th, & 26th - Christmas
